Healing, The Will of God for All People

Genesis Chapters 1 and 2 are perfect chapters that reveal the perfect plan and will of God, the Creator, for man and His created universe.

In these chapters, we find perfect order, discipline, clear instruction, and dominion over all that the Creator has made.

Because of this Euphoric order, man and woman are perfectly submitted to God and the woman to man and the creation to both of them. Therefore, in Eden, there is no sin, there is no sickness, and there is no disease.

When we are born again, reunited with our Creator, and baptized in and with the Holy Spirit, we find ourselves transported from our fallen, sinful selves to what we had before this epic failure.

It is God’s will that we get back to that order and discipline that man had in Genesis Chapters 1 and 2. There was no need for healing in God’s perfect order for humanity, as this order and discipline afforded man perfect health.

When and if we have health, there is no need for healing. God had instructed them to have a diet that produces continuous health! (Genesis 1:29-30)

Today’s diet and discipline have allowed us to stray away from that which provided perfect health, and our lack of discipline provides us with no boundaries, times, or portions. Therefore, we find that what, when, and how we eat is a major part of the enemy's strategy to keep us weak, sickly, and diseased.

If you are reading this article, it’s not too late to implement a recovery plan for your health. Isaiah 58:8 says, When we fast, we force our health to spring forth, perfectly restored to soundness!

In my book, “Fasting the Gateway to God’s Power,” I reveal the lost art and discipline of fasting and the benefits of living this Jesus lifestyle that led to His dominion over flesh, runaway thoughts, and all the power of the devil. There is not one scripture that refers to a sickly diseased Jesus, and He faced the same temptations and distractions that we face today when He was on the earth.

Sadly, our altars are full, and our prayer lines are endless for many of the same complaints; high blood pressure, diabetes, heart ailments, bone problems, all forms of cancer, and respiratory challenges, just to name a few.

We will continue to see these symptoms of the spirit of infirmity as long as we refuse to change what we eat, when we eat, and the portions that we consume.

2 Kings 4:40 says, “O thou man of God, there is death in the pot. And they could not eat thereof. When we recognize one of the sources of infirmity is, (what we eat), we too will stop consuming the death in the pot and decide that we would rather live and learn how to live life more abundantly”.

Make your mind up (the devil has no defense for a determined mind). You will live and not die; you will get stronger and stronger daily. And you will live a healthy, disciplined life starting today.

Healing is the will of God for all people, but when we have our HEALTH, there will be no need for healing.

This week has been a powerful reminder of one of my divine assignments in this season: the role of a spiritual father. I’ve had the joy of sitting with several young ministers, pouring into their lives, encouraging their calling, and helping shape their future. I have two more of those meetings today.

It was very difficult to make the decision to put my father on hospice. But when it was needed it was the best decision for him. As a hospice chaplain many people may not understand the care that a hospice program can provide.
