Heritage Council of the Blind and why we chose the tree as our logo.

The mission and purpose of our Heritage Council is to provide an anchoring foundation of knowledge and values through the personal experiences and cultural teachings of previous generations. These strong, stabilizing, roots feed the multicolored leaves of today’s generations through a supportive and information-rich highway of dynamic techniques mixed with celebrated traditions.

Heritage is about progression and growth, connecting and flourishing, and we strive to develop a community of individuals fully able to reach the heights of their potential and activate their power, sharing and continuing the cycle from roots to leaves. If you know someone visually impaired, we are looking to serve them. Please call 314-873-9022.

As a Black mother, watching the sunset paint the sky tonight, my heart isn't just filled with love for my own child's father, but with a profound, resonant gratitude for **all** of you.

This week has been a powerful reminder of one of my divine assignments in this season: the role of a spiritual father. Let’s be honest—Easter, for many, has become just another holiday on the calendar. Bright pastel ads, last-minute retail runs, and overflowing candy aisles often drown out the deeper meaning of the season.

Some people leave a mark on your organization. Others leave a mark on your heart. Pastor Ricky D. Floyd did both. It’s hard to put into words what this man meant to me, to Kings & Priests, and to so many others who were blessed to cross his path.
