More than A Conqueror!

Mrs. Patrula Griffin shares her powerful testimony revealing that she indeed is More than A Conqueror.

Hello everyone. First giving honor to my Heavenly father, and to everyone of you. Our God is Awesome!

First let me tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Patrula Griffin. I am a wife, married to my wonderful husband, Mr. Bruce Griffin, a mother of 5 children and 14 grandchildren. I am also a psalmist and now an entrepreneur.

I am here today to give you my testimony of Faith and perseverance. (Excuse me but I must give God Glory! HALLELUJAH!)

Well on April 11th, 2019, I was employed as a school bus driver. For over 22 years I operated in this role in my career of employment. There were times on the job where I could be needed to pick up an extra route. This would be one of those days. I gladly volunteered to take this extra route to help fulfill the company’s commitment. The commitment to get the children picked up on time and get them home.

This day was different from any day I worked as a bus driver. It appeared to be all out of nowhere this life changing incident occurred. As I opened my door at a bus stop, I was attacked by an angry mob of parents. The woman leading the attack grabbed an ice scraper and repeatedly struck me on my arms and my hands, as I tried to block my face. The Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, “be still”! My flesh wanted to retaliate, but all I could remember while everything was going on was telling GOD telling me to “be still”. I kept thinking if they get me off the bus it's over.

Just as I feared and regretted, I was pulled off the running vehicle that still occupied 5 students. I went headfirst, I was kicked, stomped, repeatedly cursed out. I heard God speak and say, “don’t hit back”. Sadly no one tried to stop the assault. The crowd stood and watched; I was finally able to get up after the assault stopped.

I thank GOD for his protection, and mercy on my life! Yes, He still protected me! The enemy meant to take my life that day, but the Lord said, ‘not so”. On this day God kept a firmament between my life and death.

Obedience is better than sacrifice! I have gone through so much. I can truly say God is faithful! I know He was with me.

I've had surgery where 2 discs were replaced in my neck, I also suffered a concussion and I have numbness and tingling due to the trauma. It seemed like Satan wanted me to lose everything. He wanted to make me loose even hope that I would ever recover from this or be able to survive. I’m here to tell you some of the greatest victories come out of devastation. At this time and always I make a boast in the goodness of God!

God is a way maker, He is a miracle worker, and He will never come short of His promises.

God has now blessed me to own my own business. I absolutely love my business and my customers. (Trula's Jewelry and Design LLC). I have finished 2 EPs (my music cd’s). It's only up from here!

We will experience trouble, and adversity in this life, but just know that GOD is always in control. So no matter what, keep God first! I am grateful He made me More than A Conqueror through Christ Jesus.

I appreciate you reading my testimony and I pray that this gives you strength and helps you all in life's uncertain circumstances. God Bless You!

Let’s be honest—Easter, for many, has become just another holiday on the calendar. Bright pastel ads, last-minute retail runs, and overflowing candy aisles often drown out the deeper meaning of the season.

Some people leave a mark on your organization. Others leave a mark on your heart. Pastor Ricky D. Floyd did both. It’s hard to put into words what this man meant to me, to Kings & Priests, and to so many others who were blessed to cross his path.

I was seven the first time I hid a crack pipe. It was used, still warm, and I slid it under the big blue sectional before my big brother could open the door. He was at the front, shaking. “My mom said not to let anybody in,” he kept repeating.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month and an opportune time for us to examine where we are as a people as well as a church when it comes to the stigmatization that continues to follow this critical area of our well-being. While society overall has begun trending toward more awareness, there has not been that same movement in churches, especially congregations that are historically houses of worship for people of color.

Marriage is ministry. It’s not about who leads, who follows, who talks louder, or who works harder. It’s about two people walking in agreement under God’s covering, carrying the weight of life together, and building a love that honors the Lord.

When most people think of the Prison Ministry, they think of going inside the correctional facilities. That is my passion, and I’ve done it for forty-seven years; however, I realize that other people find going into a facility intimidating.

To everything, there is a season. As one season comes to a close, another begins. Just as Moses passed the mantle to Joshua, I am honored to pass the mantle of leadership to Evangelist Leandra Green as the new pastor of Believers Temple Word Fellowship.
