Applied Scholastics Educator Symposium 2023
Molly Burton

The Applied Scholastics Educator Symposium is taking place July 28-29 in St. Louis and is the perfect opportunity for educators of every stripe to come together for two days of empowering strategies, networking, and inspiration.
As we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Applied Scholastics Educator Training Institute's Spanish Lake campus, we invite you to join us and our guest speakers as they share their successful actions as educators, as well as spark conversations around educational leadership.
Whether you are a K-12 classroom teacher, a school administrator, a vocational trainer, community leader, workforce development partner, adult education provider, or spear-head an employee training program, this symposium is perfect for ALL educators in all industries.
This symposium is designed to provide attendees with workable solutions to the most urgent issues educators face. Educators will leave with actionable takeaways that can be applied in their own schools, training programs and organizations, as well as an expanded network of professional colleagues to continue learning from. As an attendee, you will gain insight and ideas to: build momentum and sustainability for any learning environment, learn about proven tools to help guide your strategy, and find inspiration, empowerment, and community.
If you're looking for some help convincing your boss or school board that you should attend, we have good news for you. The Applied Scholastics Educator Symposium is FREE to attend, which makes it a no-brainer for anyone looking to improve their skills, acquire new tools and expand their professional network.
This year's symposium will feature two days of content focused on teaching and learning as well as adult education. You'll have the opportunity to dive into topics such as student-centered learning, professional development that works, and what it takes to be a resilient and successful educator. You'll also learn how to turn challenges into accelerated learning opportunities.
We're thrilled to announce that our guest speakers this year include Ingrid Gudenas, CEO of Effective Training Solutions, and Diego Martinez, a high school science teacher who has received numerous awards for his work in education.
Ingrid Gudenas has delivered training to executives, trainers and employees of major corporations in 53 countries and is known for stellar results. For over 35 years, Ingrid has an impressive track record of helping organizations go from depending on a small group of top performers to being able to teach all employees to achieve the highest productivity and quality standards by applying proven methods to existing training programs that can be used to teach any skills.
Diego Martinez is a recipient of the 2015 Colorado Lockheed Martin Science Teacher of the Year award and his tireless work as a STEM teacher for more than a decade earned him the 2018 Alan Shepard Technology in Education Award given by NASA. About Diego's performance in the classroom, the Superintendent of Diego's Colorado school stated, "I truly believe that the way Mr. Martinez teaches right now will, at some point in the future, become standard best practice in American high schools." Diego is sure to inspire and motivate attendees with his passion for education, as well as share the secrets of his success as an educator.
